Ford Transit: Your New Commute

When designing your 2022 Ford Transit, you have the choice of the 3.5L PFDi V6 or the available 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine.

The 3.5L EcoBoost® includes technology that uses both direct fuel injection and twin turbochargers to keep you moving forward. This fuel-saving method is then paired with the ultra-smooth 10-speed automatic transmission to produce a whopping 310 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque.

Ford figures if you’re on the road as often as you are, you should have access to their available Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive System. The Forst Transit uses this system to distribute the engine’s energy to all four wheels, improving traction when traveling on snowy, slippery, or muddy roadways.

Ford Transit: Full-Size Interior

The 2022 Ford Transit comes if four different models:

• Cargo Van
• Crew Van
• Passenger Van XL
• Passenger Van XLT

The major difference between each of these models is how they divvy up their interior. For example, it’s no surprise that the cargo-focused models, like the Cargo and Crew Vans, maximize as much space as possible, creating up to 536.4 cubic feet of cargo volume. These models are great for small or growing businesses that move large amounts of cargo, like moving boxes, furniture, and other challenging items. 

On the other hand, the Transit Passenger models focus more on making enough room for your passengers. These models can seat up to 15 at a time, which is perfect for private rides, tours, shuttles, and much more. Plus, the models makes a point to reward each passenger with at least 33.7 inches of legroom.

Ford Transit: Integrated Ford Telematics™

The 2022 Ford Transit allows drivers to stay updated on their vehicle’s status directly from their smartphone or computer.

This is all done with Ford Telematics™. It’s a complimentary software created for drivers to better understand how their vehicle is being used. Drivers can simply download the Ford Telematics Drive application to their smartphone and even complete daily checklists to ensure that their vehicle is functioning at its top performance.

The system uses an embedded modem to analyze and report driving information, like your current odometer reading, oil status, engine hours, and possible recalls. You’ll be notified directly to your phone if your vehicle is in need of attention, therefore saving you time.
