Ford F-150 Trim Levels

One of our favorite things about this truck is the plethora of great trim levels that are available. So, buckle up. We're going to take you on a ride through the Ford F-150 trim levels! Keep reading. Keep working.

F-150 XL

This is the base F-150 trim, but that doesn’t mean it’s basic. No. This is a more-than-capable truck that should be able to handle any of your normal towing and work needs.

It comes with a 3.3L Ti-VCT V6 engine that puts out 290 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. This workhorse has a maximum towing capacity of 8,200 pounds when properly equipped.

In addition, it comes with great features, such as:

• Trailer sway control
• 17-inch silver steel wheels
• Cloth 40/20/40 split front bench seat with two-way manual adjustment

F-150 XLT  

This is the next step up in the trim level line. It has a lot of similar features as the XL, with the same 3.3L Ti-VCT V6 engine putting out the same horsepower and torque.

It differs in some of its features, such as:

• Black two-bar-style grille with chrome surround and black accents
• Halogen fog lamps
• Heated side mirrors

 F-150 LARIAT

This is the third trim level of the Ford F-150. This is where the personality of this truck truly starts to shine. It comes standard with a 2.7L EcoBoost® V6 engine that puts out 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. It has a maximum towing capacity of 10,100 pounds when properly equipped.

It also comes with stunning interior features, such as:

• Black leather-wrapped steering wheel
• Dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control
• Power-sliding rear window
• 10-way power, leather-trimmed, heated and ventilated front seats

F-150 Platinum

The Platinum trim is where things begin to truly get luxurious. You'll feel like an absolute high-class working machine behind the wheel of this truck. It comes with the same engine as the King Ranch, the 5.0L Ti-VCT V8, but differs in some of the striking features, such as:

• Power-deployable running boards
• Dynamic bending headlamps
• 20-inch polished aluminum wheels
• Unique multicontour bucket seats with Active Motion®

F-150 Limited

This is it. This is the height of luxury when it comes to the F-150. This is the truck you get when you want to make a statement rolling up to a business meeting.

It comes standard with a 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine that puts out 400 horsepower and a whopping 500 lb-ft of torque. Its  maximum towing capacity of 14,000 pounds, when properly equipped, makes this quite a formidable machine.

The Limited's luxurious features include:

• Chrome single-bar-style grille
• Twin-panel moonroof
• 22-inch polished aluminum wheels
•  Power-sliding glass rear window with privacy tint and defroster
