Ford Bronco Sport Technology
The 2021 Ford Bronco Sport is a compact model based on the popular off-road Bronco SUV. The capable vehicle has a lot of desirable features, including some of the most intuitive technology on the market.
Drivers in Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Chesapeake can find out more about the Ford Bronco Sport technology with this comprehensive technology review from Cavalier Ford Chesapeake Square.
Ford Bronco Sport Performance Technology
The Bronco Sport is designed as a capable utility vehicle that can handle your towing and off-roading needs. Several performance and capability features use sharp technology to enhance its utility, such as an advanced four-wheel drive with a twin-clutch rear-drive unit. This feature has a twin-clutch rear drive unit that can add traction by shifting torque to a single rear wheel using the G.O.A.T (Go Over Any Terrain) Modes. These selectable drive modes include options for sand, slippery surfaces, sport, economy, normal driving, rock crawling, mud and ruts, and Baja, which is meant for high-speed driving on rugged terrain in 4High.
Another highlight is the H.O.S.S Suspension, a High-Performance, Off-Road, Stability Suspension system that is designed to optimize composure during off-roading. This system uses finely tuned front struts with hydraulic rebound stops, 46-mm-diameter monotube rear shocks, and anti-roll bars for better traction and articulation over obstacles.
Ford Bronco Sport Entertainment Technology
The Bronco Sport comes with an 8-inch touchscreen that pairs with Ford’s intuitive SYNC® 3 infotainment interface for entertainment and information on the road. Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® are included, so you can connect to your phone and stream music and other media. You’ll also get SiriusXM radio and a crystal-clear Bang & Olufsen sound system. The infotainment system uses a combination of hard buttons and touch inputs and voice commands for ease of use.
FordPass Connect™ with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot is available, which allows up to 10 devices to connect at one time. FordPass also tracks your Wi-Fi data usage to make sure you don’t exceed your limits. Best of all, the hotspot can be accessed up to 50 feet outside of the vehicle, so you’ll be connected in remote environments.
Ford Bronco Sport Safety Technology
The Bronco Sport comes with the Ford Co-Pilot360™ standard, which bundles a number of desirable safety technologies for better protection on the road. Pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking is included, which alerts you to possible collisions and applies the brakes automatically. You’ll also get blind-spot monitoring with a rear cross-traffic alert, a feature that sends a warning if there’s a vehicle or obstacle in your path when reversing or changing lanes.
Several other features are included with the Co-Pilot360 bundle, such as a lane-keep system that alerts you if you drift out of your lane and gently guides you back to the center. Automatic high-beam headlights are also included, which switch on automatically in low-light situations.
