2022 Ford Edge: Standard All-Wheel Drive

The Ford Edge makes sure that every driver receives a smooth, controlled drive by adding standard all-wheel drive to all five of its available trim models.

No matter if you’re impressed by the luxurious ST model, or a perfect match for the base SE model—your engine power will be delivered to all four of your wheels. This means better handling on wet, slippery, or snowy road conditions.

Speaking of engines, the Ford Edge gives drivers the option of two powertrains: the 2.0L EcoBoost® engine, and the available 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine.

The 2.7L engine comes standard on all ST models. The engine enhances your ride from 250 to 335 horsepower. Plus, it’s responsible for pumping out an impressive 380 lb-ft of torque. It’s a perfect option for those who like a bit more push behind their pedals.

Both engines are equipped with efficiency features, like Auto Start-Stop Technology. This technology allows the engine to automatically turn off when your vehicle is idle. This means every time you’re stopped at a stop sign, in line at a drive-thru, or sitting in city traffic—your engine is actively saving fuel.

Because of this feature and other like it, the Ford Edge can achieve an EPA-estimated 21 city and 28 highway MPG.

2022 Ford Edge: An All-New Edgy Look

New year, new edge. The latest Ford Edge elevates its exterior with 20-inch premium gloss black-painted aluminum wheels. Drivers can sit high while engaging the model’s signature LED lighting with dark bezel.

The interior of the Edge ST model only adds to this athletic look with its special ST badging, metallic pedals, and steering wheel with red stitching.

If you continue inside the cabin, you’ll find enough room to seat up to five passengers at a time. Your rear-seated passengers can enjoy over 40 full inches of legroom on the next road trip, and at least 40.2 inches dedicated to their headspace.

If you’re traveling with more cargo and less passengers, use the standard 60/40 split-fold-flat function to fold down any unused seats. Thanks to this function, you’ll receive up to 73.4 cubic feet of space to store your on-the-go essentials. Use the available hands-free foot-activated liftgate to easily unpack your items when you arrive at your destination.

Pair your interior with the available 12-inch center-stack multi-function screen with SYNC® 4A technology. Using this wide user-friendly display, you’ll be able to control your driver and entertainment settings in just a few taps.
