2022 Ford Bronco Sport: Power & Performance

The 2022 Ford Bronco Sport Base trim comes equipped with a 1.5L EcoBoost® Ti-VCT GTDI I-3 engine that has been paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The power outputs for it are 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. This engine also offers high fuel efficiency with an EPA-estimated 25 city/28 highway/26 combined MPG.

There is also another available engine in the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. It’s the 2.0L EcoBoost® Ti-VCT GTDI I-4 engine, which comes paired with a similar 8-speed automatic transmission. However, this time the transmission includes SelectShift® technology with paddle shifters. This engine performs at a rate of 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. The fuel economy for this engine is an EPA-estimated 21 city/26 highway/23 combined MPG.

2022 Ford Bronco Sport: Off-Road Capabilities

The off-roading capabilities of the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport are impressive and dedicated. This vehicle utilizes many different technologies that have been built into it to help you tame the wilderness. An example is the Terrain Management System™, which is available on all trims. It features five standard G.O.A.T. Modes™ (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain), which include Sand, Slippery, Sport, Eco, and Normal. The Badlands trim includes two more modes: Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl.

For wetter conditions, the Bronco Sport Badlands trim comes with an available 23.6 inches of water-fording ability. With that amount available, it’ll be no issue to splash through creeks or other watery terrain. Every Bronco Sport also has the HOSS System, which stands for High-Performance, Off-Road, Stability, and Suspension. This system is designed to help keep vehicle composure when traveling over especially rugged terrain.

2022 Ford Bronco Sport: Infotainment Technologies

Staying wired and well connected is the dream of every modern driver. In the Bronco Sport, you can rest easily, thanks to the inclusion of the SYNC® 3 infotainment system. Displayed on an 8-inch touchscreen, you can alternate between voice-activated commands and the capacitive display. Included on this system is the connectivity between you and your smartphone due to Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ capabilities.

Another great feature facilitated through the SYNC® 3 system is an available voice-activated navigation system. With turn-by-turn instructions at your fingertips, it makes getting anywhere a much-easier venture. Also available within the navigation system is how the GPS will drop virtual “breadcrumbs” along your path, so if you need to retrace your steps, you can follow these breadcrumbs back onto your route and continue in the right direction.
