Ford F-450 Towing and Engines
The F-450 comes with a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 that produces 475 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque. This engine works with a TorqShift® heavy-duty 10-speed automatic transmission and standard rear-wheel drive, though 4-wheel-drive system is available for better traction in inclement weather and when off-roading.

For safety, the F-450 offers features like automatic emergency braking, which applies the brakes automatically in the event of a collision, and blind-spot monitoring, which alerts you to vehicles in your path when switching lanes. Several features are available for towing, such as the Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System, which provides multiple camera angles to connect the trailer quickly and easily. You can also add the Pro Trailer Backup Assist™, which simplifies reversing the truck with an attached trailer. Another feature is adaptive cruise control, which maintains a safe following distance by adjusting your cruise speed on the highway.
